A Gemini 2.5 Pro update gets an early release

Gemini 2.5 Pro has already received overwhelmingly positive feedback from developers and users, so we moved up our plans to announce a big update at I/O and gave access to Gemini 2.5 Pro Preview (I/O edition) this week. This updated version of 2.5 Pro has significantly improved capabilities for coding and multimodal reasoning — in fact, 2.5 Pro now leads on the WebDev Arena Leaderboard, which measures human preference for an AI model's ability to build aesthetically pleasing and functional web apps. It's available for users in the Gemini app, powering features like Canvas and enabling anyone to build interactive web apps with a single prompt. Developers also can start building on Gemini API via Google AI Studio and Vertex AI.
